    As long as we remember, the fallen won’t be forgotten. Wherever you are on 11 November, please 'remember to remember' with a minute’s silence at 11am.

    Honouring the fallen 

    At 11am on 11 November 1918, the guns on the Western Front finally fell silent, effectively ending World War I.  

    The first Armistice Day (now Remembrance Day) was marked exactly one year later, with citizens around the world uniting in silence to remember the fallen.  

    More than 100 years on, Remembrance Day remains an important time to remember all who have lost their lives in service.

    The 2025 ANZAC Day service in Nerang marks the 109th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing – the start of Australia and New Zealand’s first major World War I campaign.

    Hosted by Banyo RSL Sub Branch, this ANZAC Day ceremony will include the laying of wreaths, the sounding of the Last Post and the observance of a minute's silence.

    Join the Nerang community in honouring the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs and all who have followed in their footsteps.
